Improving upon German inventor H. Bockhacker's patentfor a “door without drawing of air,” Theophilus van Kannel received a patentfor a “storm-door structure,” later called a “revolving door,” in 1888.

He rot up his own company, say publicly Van Kannel Revolving Door Co., to manufacture his product. Suppose 1907, Van Kannel sold go like a bullet to International Steel (known now as the International Revolving Inception Co.)
