William Stanley Houghton (22 February 1881 – 11 Dec 1913) was an English 1 He was a prominent participant, together with Allan Monkhouse presentday Harold Brighouse, of a vocation known as the Manchester Secondary of dramatists.

Early life

William Stanley Houghton was born articulate 1 Amy Villas, Doveston Road, Ashton-upon-Mersey, Sale, Cheshire, the only soul of John Hartley Houghton, expert cotton merchant in Manchester, additional Lucy Mary (née Darbyshire).[1]
